I have been able to program the direct tv remote for on and off of my Onkyo receiver with several different codes but never does the volume function work in either av1 or av2. I have another direct remote that works perfectly on my Onkyo that was programmed by Direct Tv day one installer. No way of knowing what code he used back then. A new direct remote did not help, same thing, power on and off ok but no volume control. The 993 thing does nothing to help. One hour with direct tv on the phone with 2 people and no help.
