In direct stereo mode with the speakers set to small & the crossover set at 80hz, do the speakers remain at 80hz? Or do they play full bandwidth?

Hi Zumbo,

I am going by the assumption as it pertains to my Z-9, the direct mode shouldnt have any bearing on speaker setting as such as that is set by the LARGE and SMALL setting as well as the sub out setting of LFE or BOTH.

I believe that any and all Digital Signal Processing is bypassed if this mode is engaged...allowing one to hear exactly what the artist recorded for you...if your speakers can handle it...and if your system is set up for it...

best,

The speakers take it very well. I can crank it to 0 without any problem. This is why I asked the question. It sounds great. I am just wondering, even though all things are bypassed, if the crossover setting is in effect. It seems to me, if the speakers are getting full bandwidth, they would be getting slammed!
