Digital vs Analog Connection

Am just curious. I noticed many DVD players with the 192/24 sampling rate on their faces. And then when I look at the back, there are no 5.1 analog terminals, just stereo , digital and video jacks.

If i use the digital connection, can i still benefit from the 192/24? Is it true that digital connection downsamples the data stream?

With only a stereo analog jack, does this mean i only benefit from the player's internal 192/24 DAC if I downcovert the DD/DTS signal from 5.1 to stereo?

What's the point in advertising 192/24 on a player without 5.1 analog jacks?

I have my Yamaha DVD-S2300 DVD/SACD player connected to my Z-1 with a coaxial cable and the Z-1 decodes 192KHz SACD, I do have 5.1 analog out on my player but prefer the superior DAC of the Z-1 to do the job.

I am also using the internal DACs of my preamp even if my DVD player has 5.1 analog outs. I posted the questions above because I am contemplating on upgrading my current generic player to a Pioneer, Samsung or Panasonic whose faceplates have this higher sampling DACs but only sport stereo jacks. Thus, my questions.
