Digital Coax for Subwoofer

I've spent the last few hours getting all my cables organized according to some much appreciated advice found on this form. That being said, I was using a ridiculously long and old 'monster' subwoofer cable from the LFE out on my Pioneer VSX-53TX receiver to the LFE input on my Velodyne subwoofer. I only needed a three foot run with my current setup and decided to try a good quality, well shielded digital coax cable* I had laying around.

It seems to sound better, but at the very least, I don’t have a pile of cable to tie up and hide. Does anybody think that this is not a good idea, and if so, why? Learning…

It's fine.

IT's all essentialy 75 ohm coax anyway. There's no reason it should sound better than a standard audio interconnect except perhaps for the short lenght and, given the distances involved, even that's debatable.
