Age is no excuse. I'm 18. If you can't find anything by searching, I'd be glad to help. But I guarantee that you'll find what you need after a couple minutes of searching.

I wasn't reffering using search to the age 14, I meant I'm just getting into audio technologies.

I did a bit of searching, found nothing but a "Down Firing vs. Front firing" thread, which didn't explain anything but hardwood flooring affecting these two tipe of designs.

Therefore, this thread is not useless. :p

Less than you may think. The best sub companies make them both ways. You'll get much better results with placement and room calibration than deciding whether you should go front or down firing. It will make more difference in a vehicle than in a living room.

Check out JL Audio's site. They offer a wealth of info on subs.

yes, I am 16... well 17 really in a couple months. And I am just getting ready to get a Bic acoustech H100, best in my pricerange for a subwoofer  Just saw spiderman II on my budget Polk setup subless and centerless ( using phantom sub) and it was very enjoyable... but I did notice that I need a centrer because even though my fronts were lined up very nicely for a phantom center.. it sounded OFF.. :(

Anyways, what am I blabbling about..lol But dang you're 14 hehe I was more into counterstrike at that age
