I am trying to understand as much as possible about different screen resolutions available - but on computer screens. Not TV's. I'm working for a project that shall facilitate a control room, with different kinds of equipment. From projector based screens to back projected barco cubes to conventional flat screens and/or widescreens. All computer related. Is this the right place to ask? Specifically about the computer widescreens and projectors.

Audioholics is a great resource for consumer electronics information and reviews.
Projectorcentral.com is another good site for consumer and commercial projector information and reviews. There are probably some other sites dedicated to commercial displays and video walls vs. the consumer LCDs and Plasmas covered by Audioholics.
