Desktop amp to DAC and Headphone amp

Hello,

I have a Topping D90 A90 stack for my headphones, and I recently purchased an SMSL DA-9 to run some SVS prime bookshelves at my work desk. I would like to be able to switch between the two amps easily. Do I need something like Topping EXT90?

No responses after a bit, hopefully someone can chime in.

I also just thought of something else. Since the A90 has a preamp mode, can I just run an output into the DA-9, flip the switch to preamp, then the DA-9 should be activated, correct? Would I control the volumne by the pot on the A90, DA-9, or would both have some control.

Heya,

Yes, you should be able to use one as pre-amp then it will send signal out to your amp. If running as a pre-amp to your power amp, both will control volume likely.

Otherwise, something like this would do it, good quality:
