Denon S750H zone 2 volume

I am having trouble adjusting volume in zone 2 of my Denon S750H. I have followed manual, Zone 2 Source and Master Volume, or Zone 2 on remote and volume up/down arrows, but is frozen on 60. “Fixed” on Denon AVR app too. So how do I adjust volume in Zone 2?

Might explain a bit more on just what connections and setup you've done initially, but a glance at the manual seems to confirm you're doing what you need to in general....might try a soft reset (unplug the avr for a bit) and/or a full/microprocessor/factory reset per the manual's instructions (pg 227 of the pdf manual).

Per page 196 of the manual, ensure that your volume for zone 2 is set to variable, rather than fixed. If you do not have it on 'variable', then it won't allow for volume adjustment.

Interesting, looked on the back thinking maybe he had zone 2 pre-outs with a fixed/variable thing but didn't think something with only speaker outs would have a fixed mode....altho I suppose I can maybe see a use for that (but since it has a power on volume level wonder how useful that really is).

Some people hook up zone 2 for whole house audio rather than just a single secondary room. So, you may go into a 4-way speaker selector, or similar, then out to multiple rooms with each room having its own local volume control to run things. It's less than ideal, but a perfectly workable setup as long as people don't want the volume up that loud. Great for background listening I would expect. So, that's when you would set it to fixed and just leave it. For full operation w/volume, then people should leave it set to variable so they don't run into this issue.
