I’m playing around with some different settings on my x4700h. When I first setup about a year ago I had read somewhere in some basic setup guides to set the audio restorer to Low, which is how I’ve had it since. Now that I’m a little more knowledgeable about things from this forum and others, I’m wondering whether it’s something I need or not.
I listen to music through my system by way of Apple Music streamed through my AppleTV. I also have songs I play from my Mac through the AppleTV into the AVR. Most, not all, of the music on the Mac are FLAC files or high bit rate files ripped from CDs (“lossless” setting). Most all of the music from Apple Music is also “lossless”.
From what I understand about the Denon restorer function, it seems like there wouldn’t be a need for it in these cases? I know my ears will let me know what sounds better, but just curious about what others generally do with these sort of sources and that setting.
