Heads up, headphones fans!!!
We all know that Denon is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment products. From earphones to some of the most acclaimed preamps and amplifiers in the industry, this company keeps on innovating. This time, it's the headphones fans who are in for an awesome treat. If you didn't know, Denon announced three new headphone models expected to be available sometime between the second half of January and the first half of February. These new additions belong to their Music Maniac™ Series.
These are the model numbers:
- AH-MM400 (Top Model) - Price: $399.00
- AH-MM300 (Mid-Level Model) - Price: $299.00
- AH-MM200 (Entry-Level Model) - Price: $199.00
The top model, the reference class AH-MM400 ($399), features an over-ear (circum-aural) design that provides top comfort as well as passive acoustic isolation without the need for noise canceling. Its real American Walnut earcup housings provide natural tone and an elegant look. Each earcup contains an advanced 40mm driver that features Denon's proprietary "Free Edge" technology. The diaphragm itself features Denon’s advanced Carbon/Paper Composite blend, which combine the products lightweight feel with high rigidity and the driver’s neodymium magnets.
The second model of the series is the AH-MM300 ($299) on-ear (supra-aural). This model utilizes reinforced glass fiber material that combines lightweight and high rigidity to, according to the company, eliminate resonance distortion. It also features 40mm drivers with Denon's proprietary technology.
The third model of the series is the AH-MM200 ($199) which features the same ellipsoid earcup design as the AH-MM300 model. This model uses 30mm drivers with Denon's Triple Layered Diaphragm technology. This technology is claimed to deliver wide frequency response and high dynamic range along with neodymium magnets. More details to come.
