I have a 5803A and have been looking quite some time for a DVD 9000 to join it and then i plan on picking up a 3800BDCi Denon blu-ray player. My question is I listen to music ALOT and want the best sound I can get out of my CD's, so is the 9000 the way to go, or is the btter solution is acquiring the Denon reference Blu-Ray player and just have one component? I guess I am looking for someone to convince me that the 9000 is really worth holding out for. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you, John

Welcome:)

I presume you checked into the features of that 3800 bdci. If the features it offers is all you need, it is more than enough to give you all the audio stored on a CD. Even a lesser player will accomplish that feat.

While that player is still a solid one, I can't see buying two different players just for what you are looking to do. Get an Oppo 95 and be done with it. I had a few Denon players and to be honest, my BDP-83SE easily surpassed them for sound quality.
