Denon DVD 3910 - Audible Vibrations

I recently purchased a used one in like new condition but had discovered that when it is playing the non-movie video at the beginning (copyright warning, THX, previews, etc.) the player's spinning vibrates quite loudly. It then becomes absolutely silent when the movie portion of the DVD is cued and remains silent throughout (until the very end of a long movie where the spinning again becomes audible). I have yet to see if it does this during CD playback.

Have other 3910 owners had the same experience? I cannot check this out at a local dealer.

Thanks.

I have two 3910s (one for each of 2 a/v systems) and neither exhibits the problem you describe. Is the disk in question a home brewed one, and did you apply a label to the disk? If it is a commercial disk, does the silkscreen feel thicker on one side? I have had the problem you describe on my computer optical drives when I play some of my older DVDs and CDs that have paper labels applied (which is why I no longer use them).

The disc I have tried it with is the new Star Wars III disc - original and purchased from large reputable retailer.
