Hi people.
Yesterday I settled on the above as a new DVD/CD transport replacing my Toshiba SD2500 picking up the obvious benefits fro the old Toshiba.
Have this unit connected via component to my Yami RX-V2500 letting it to the switching to my Sony HD CRT and setup digital audio connection via coaxial.
Watched a couples of DVD's last night and have to say Video playback is lovely! Progressive is well and truly noticable!
Connected up the Multi Channel Input today and dug out a a demo DVD Audio disk that I had laying about and thought I'd embark on setting up the unit properly for audio playback via Multi Ch Input on the RX-V2500.
Reading the Denon manual, it looks straight forward to adjust the various levels however when I go into setup, hit the right arrow twice to get to Audio Setup, all but "Compression" and "SACD Filter" are greyed out and the up/down arrows skip from the top down to "Compression" passing all that is greyed out.
Now Ive tried changing whats greyed out in the Audio Setup menu by accessing it different ways, and in different contexts, all to no avail. From having the unit on standby then entering setup, turning it on cold with the power button then using the standby "on" button from the remote then hitting setup then going to audio, no disk in and disk in - Oh, and Ive tried DVD, CD, and DVD-A disks with all the above scenarios.
And Ive tried entering setup while playing DVD, DVD-A, and CD.
Ive tried having the 2500 on Multi CH Input and Surround while trying to access it.
Ive listened to the DVD-A disk through the Multi Ch Input though just cant get to these wretched settings!!
Please, has anyone got any ideas on why the settings are greyed out, and how I might get to access them??
If anyone has any other questions too clarify anything, please let me know.
