Both brands will be appearing all over the country in stores beginning the end of September as Circuit City plans for adding dedicated home entertainment areas within 500 or so of its 630 stores.

So you will be able to buy the equivalent of a 2807 in CC in the near future? This sounds scary. There are lots of trunk slammers who sell the silver 3 digit line of Denon. I had one installer tell me it was their "pro line." Now available everywhere.

this is pretty surprising to me.

Equivalent of or they will be selling the "normal" line? Just like previous with Good Guys, they don't carry some of the nicer gear, such as the higher end players or receivers. Sounds like they will stop at the 2807 or 3806 level, and the 1920 level.

CC by me has always had Denon and BA.
Wow. No CC I've ever been to in TN, KY, or SC has ever had Denon or BA. Should be a nice addition/replacement to the CC lineup.

Seems like a really good move for CC, now they more effectively compete with BB/Magnolia.

Yea this is their attempt to compete with BB and magnolia but they still wont carry as high end of products, to counteract this Best Buy is now bargining with customers more used to be you paid the set price my friends dad just talked them down $500 on a sxrd to keep them from going to CC, not to mention this weekend 0% apr for 36 months on all purchases over 499, im going to go shopping tomorrow :)

But from what i hear, they are{BB} going overboard with the high end,its wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy high end. Top good stuff{Denon,Pioneer,Yamaha,Onkyo} with a selection would gather word of mouth and i belive the business would come. Somebody has to hurry and get the GG business.

I think it is a great idea for CC, but hopefully they do those good quality products some justice. They have done well with Polk and Infinity, but I think this will help revive their audio departments, which have usually been lackluster.

could be a response to BB's Magnolia store-in-store concept. If so, they'll offer the 'high end' of the line too.
