I'm trying to run the latest Roku box via HDMI through my Denon AVR4306. For the first 20 minutes or so, all is fine. After 20 minutes or so my projector blacks out for half a second. This happens with no distinct pattern for about 20 minutes. All is fine for a few minutes, and then the picture disappears. After about 40 minutes, the blackouts stop entirely. All seems well for as long as I watch. It's just those first 40 minutes or so.
When I connect the Roku directly to my projector, I do not experience any blackouts. The same holds true for my Blu-Ray player.
I'm guessing that the AVR4306's HDMI is incompatible with my latest Roku and DVD boxes.
Does this make sense?
If so, is there a way to update the AVR4306's firmware to get rid of this problem? Or, can I work around this with some other equipment? I'd hate to have to replace the AVR4306.
