<font color='#000000'>After some help in a previous post 'a/v review'
I have decided to go with the denon brand.
I have brought home the denon avr1604 for a 30 day trial but for future considerations may return it for the 1804. For both increased power and multizone capabilities.
A few questions for anyone that has setup the 1804 for multizone.
I would only be interested at this time to go with the speaker out configuration. Don't want to spend the $$ on yet another amplifier.
1) It appears I am limited by assigning 2 speakers to mono out on zone2 (the sixth amp). Can anyone tell me how bad / good this sounds with a cd player source selected.
2) With this config you also can't output digital signals (of course). But does this receiver convert my optical connection from the cd player in the main zone to analog for zone2?. Or do I have to run both optical (for main zone) and rca out's (for zone 2) from the cd player (and any other device for that matter)</font>
