Hi,

I'm new to the forum. Hopefully it's OK to post this here. If not, I apologize in advance and will get it in the appropriate area (still checking things out here).

I have a Denon AVR-X1000 on its way from Amazon. I've read good things about Denon and the AVR-X1000 in general, but would like to hear from anyone who has one.

How do you like it?

Sincerely,

Ted

Well, I don't own the X1000, but I have owned plenty of Denon, including ones in the $300-$500 range.

The X1000 has Audyssey XT + single Sub EQ + Dynamic EQ (DEQ), which I think is very good. I highly recommend DEQ.

In terms of power output, the X1000 should be similar to the Denon 1913: 118WPC x 2CH 8 ohm/ 151WPC x 2CH 4 ohm/ 82WPC x 5CH 8 ohm @ 1% THD (measured by HTM).

So it should a very good AVR and should be able to power most speakers in most rooms at sensible smart volume. :D

The receiver came in. It's installed, and Audessy setup has been run to calibrate the system to the speakers and listening environment.

So far, I'm very impressed. Music from my iPhone sounds good (there's only so much any system can do to restore the quality of the recordings). Internet radio sounds great, as do movies on Netflix. Video also looks much cleaner on Netflix than it did with my old system.

As I had read in reviews (including the Audioholics review), bass isn't boomy but is tight and seems to fit whatever's playing (music or movies).

It replaced a Yamaha RX-V663.

Hi, I just got a pre-owned Denon AVR-X1000.
My question is, "IN-COMMAND" is a standard feature of Denon AVR-X1000 or some AVR-X1000 models don't have this feature?
On google, in images some Denon AVR-X1000 have IN-COMMAND written on them and some not.
Regards.

That a good little entry level unit. I'm a fan of Denon/Marantz.

Here's Denon's spin https://usa.denon.com/us/news/news/115

Refers partly I believe to their former similar lineup of avrs designated CI (custom integration) a reference to ability to be custom setup in detail by an installer.

I have owned a mess of Denon since my PRA-100 preamp, two avr3300, a avr3802, 3803 and a 3805. They have all been sent to my kids homes, they have all sounded wonderful. i would order one without audition. Best of luck to you. I hate waiting.
