Denon AVR-981 having problems...

I have a Denon AVR-981 that powers up, then after a few seconds power off again. What might be causing this? It has worked fine for about 2 years.

Check for shorts (even tiny ones) in the speaker cables,terminal or connections. If there are none, then it's beyond me.

Try unpluggling speaker cables, and A/v cables from the back of the unit and then turn it on. If it still happens with nothing plugged into it, they you may have to send the unit in for service.

I had something similar happen, but it was with a car amp though.
