Denon AVR-790/Klipsch Sub Troubleshooting

I am a total novice, so I will say "thanks" in advance.

Just got the starter system, including a Denon AVR-790 receiver and a Klipsch subwoofer. Everything is set up according to the manual. When I run the Auto Setup, the receiver recognizes all of the speakers except the subwoofer. I even got the multi-zone capability to work so that I can output one source (i-pod) to zone 2 while watching cable/dvd one the main zone.

So, why can't I get the sub up and running? I have double-checked the connections and the power, and all is in order.

I am highly confident this is an instance of "user error".

What are your speaker set up settings?

Ditto, pgs. 25-27, make sure you run a manual test tone!

Ran the manual test tone - nothing.

Diagnosed the problem as a short in the subwoofer cable.

All up and running now.

Thanks for the help!!!
