Mmm... I think that I will go with the AVR-5805 mkII.
Because it does bass management from it's 8-channel analog ouputs.
So you can get a very nice blu-ray player with a very good multichannel analog section and just use that for your still high end high resolution new audio codecs. You ain't loosing anything at all, only the "Dolby TrueHD & DTS-HD MA" logos showing on the front display on the 5805.
Yes sir, now I'm 100% sure that I will go with the 5805, plus you'll get a good discount, more power, upgradeable component, plus the bigger, the meaner receiver ever created on the face of the planet Earth!
Heck, that's exactly what I will choose for myself if finances would allow me.
By the way, one of my system is very modest with an Onkyo TX-SR805 and a Panasonic DMP-BD55, and guess what, I prefer using the multichannel analog output of my BD55 connected to the multichannel analog input of my 805. The Sound is excellent and I still get Dolby True HD and DTS-HD MA high resolution audio.
With the Denon AVR-5805 mkII, it will be even better, because you have access at all the bass management plus various functions from these mutichannel outputs.
And who knows if denon will not permit Dolby True HD and DTS-HD MA from their future Denon link version 4 or higher, of their high end blu-ray players.
The Denon link v.4 is now upgradeable into their older receivers.
Anyway, with the 5805 MKII you'll be in great shape right now.
Cheers,
Bob
