Denon AVR-5805 details out!

The new Crutchfield catalog (p.46 - the whole page) has all the dirt on the new AVR-5805- much more than the Denon website has yet.

A few notes:

1) THX Ultra2 Certified.

2) 170 watts X 10 (!!!)

3) HDMI/DVI switching

4) 4 room/ 4 source capability

Note that this last allows:

a) 5.1 surround in the main room with all channels bi-amped.
b) 5.1 surround in the main room, 5.1 surround in room 2.
c) 5.1 surround in the main room, stereo in rooms 2 and 3, mono in room 4.

etc. up to 9.1 surround (!) in the main room.

Now -- who gets to review this one??

LOL, possibly. Amps and Receivers aren't getting any lighter these days and I aint quite as strong as I used to be

Denon is shipping this receiver to U.S. dealers starting on November 1st, 2004. My dealer says that his Denon rep told him initial production is 200 units for US market. I am looking forward to a review of this receiver.
