I purchased the Denon AVR 5308CI and I've been playing with it for a about a month now. The more familiar I became with this unit the more I like it, that WiFi feature is owesome. I need some tips from anyone out there that may have more experience with this model. Big investment, I want to make the most of it.

Sorry don't own it, but I read recently that it is one of a handful of receivers that can process video without artifacts whatsoever. I'd suggest sending your dvd signal unprocessed to its top of the line chip set for any upscaling, and then on to your display.

i think if you can send any un-altered video signal, its processing is nice, but I guess that would also depend on you display.

What speakers are you using OP? Do you use the multi zone fetures? What was your deceding factor/s in make the purchase?

My deciding factor was the array of features this receiver offers. My speakers are Definitive Technology all around 7 ch. The Denon is a multi-zone receiver, I have connected for 3 separate zones; it's easy, the second remote is very convenient. I especially like the WiFi feature which I believe Denon is the only that offers that. I enjoy internet music from all over. Other than that, I have no complains as far as power and quality of sound. I'm very happy with my new toy.
