Hello folks,
I'm new to the forum and in over my head with this receiver...but anyway...
I got this receiver some time ago and after opening the box I found a bend/ding in the rear upper left corner so the Front right speaker terminal is now pointing awkwardly.

Knowing that setup is difficult, I'd like to just test for sound with my Bose AM10 5.1 with just, say, FM stereo. How shall I connect the speaker wire?

I have the speakers hooked up(possibly wrong) and tried a few weeks ago to use the setup mic and got to hear the hissing "fuzzy-white-noise" but I couldn't even get sound from FM stereo.

Help please and thanks in advance.

Is the binding post so bent that you can't attach a wire? How did you hook it up when you tried it?

What happens when you do the auto cal?

Are you on a known FM station when you test the tuner? Do you have the antenna hooked up?

After getting home and LOOKING :D ....(looking from the backside)actually the backside sheet metal is bent forward/inward right between the words "Speaker" and "Systems" exactly where that "black button" is.

The posts work fine and are just a little crooked. I'm using the Front L and R, Center and Surr. Back L and R posts.

If I remember correctly the auto cal went through its cals okay. I'd have to wait 'til weekend to try it again.

My antenna is hooked up and i tried all my favorite stations but no sound. Maybe wrong surround modes?

Thanks for your time.

To check that your speakers are receiving the proper signal, run the test tones (pg 128). For the tuner, I would run the Tuner Presets setup, pg 103.
