Denon AVR 4308ci vs Denon AVR 4310ci

Both these Denon models are from the 43 hundred series.
Why is the newer model the 4310ci smaller and lighter. Did they leave something out? I am thinking of buying one of these. Not sure which one to buy.

As new technologies become available, amplifiers can be made with devices that demand less from the power supplies. That means the power transformer can be lighter. The 10CI and 11CI series both have several things that the 08 series didn't.

I'm thinking the 4310/4311 is more in line with the AVR-3808 in terms of power output.

Thanks for the help. I just bought the newer model the 4310ci on E bay. I am sure I will be happy with my choice.
