Despite calls with technical assistance at teh dealer and *many* detailed step by step walk throughs of the set-up screens my new 4306 is doing the following: The Zone 2 and Zone 3 pre-outs (a) are at fixed volume and (b) have identical feeds. Yes, the setup screen is set to variable (the Zone 2 / Zone 3 volumes vary on the screen display and can be taken to zero but the output continues to blast at an ear splitting levels). Odder (almost) is that no matter what the Zone 3 input is set to, the output is whatever is on Zone 2.
Oh, one more thing, the "Zone 2 Power Off" and "Zone 3 Power Off" switches do NOTHING. With the screen display reading "Zone X Power OFF" the source continues to blast away.
I thought that there might be a RECOUT or similar settng that is overriding the zone controls but the FUNCTION dial, when in Zone 2/3 mode sets the zone or recout functions separately and best as I can tell exclusively. You cannot be in RECOUT and ZONE 2 or 3 out simultaneously.
Any help or insight is appreciated. As I noted above, my very large dealer (ABT Electronics in Glenview, IL is stumped). Thanks!
