Denon AVR 4306 and Denon DVD 2930 or 3930

Need Help, I bought my Panasonic TH50PHD6 Plasma TV and a set of panasonic HTIB 2 years ago. My HTIB had died. I am replacing it with a set of 5 speakers and 1 sub from Axiom. Which AVR shall I get to go with my system? Is Denon AVR 4306 a good choice and does it pair well with my Plasma TV? Shall I replace my cheap DVD with Denon 2930 or 3930 to make the most out of the AVR 4306? Please advice!!!!

It really depends on how much money you're willing to spend. Both of those Denons are great products and will interface via Denon-Link to your receiver. I've had a 2910 and currently have the 3910 and love them both. Don't forget about the HD/Blue Ray players coming along. At the price point of those 2 players, you might want to hold off & see what shakes out in that war.

If you want to drop 2K on a 4306, you won't be disappointed - this thing is a monster. Depending on your room size and listening habits, you may want to check out boxes with a few less features & power for a lot less money. Pretty much all the mainstream receivers past entry-level are excellent performers. Don't let the "fanboys" on these forums sway your decision - check out the different makes and models out there and figure out what you want and need. This hobby/obsession/mental illness can get out of hand pretty quickly (don't ask me how I know this)

If you're interested in a 4306, shop around, I was able to buy a 4306 for less than $1500 from an authorized dealer. I've been very happy with the receiver, Audyssey works great, and it's network connectivity (internet radio, streaming music, support of USB devices) is a real bonus if you're interested in these features.
