Denon AVR-3808CI HDMI Input

I am purchasing the Denon 3808 and I have noticed from their manuel that the 4 HDMI inputs are already named and satellite receiver is not one of them. I have a Directv HD receiver, can I connect to one of them and rename it? Thanks.

yes, you can re-name all the inputs on the denon OSD. of course, the names printed on the back will still be the same so you're gonna have note down what changes you made ... e.g. renaming HDMI 4 = satellite.

after awhile, you forget which input you renamed to what.

Thanks Mike. I haven't received the Denon yet, I have to confirm the purchase with J&R.com tomorrow. I really had a hard time deciding between the Denon AVR-3808CI or the Sony STR-DA5300ES. I can still change my mind, they are both $1299, but from what I read it seems like the Denon wins out. Anybody with last minute thoughts?

for reliability, I'd go for anything but sony ... (except for their TV's)
