Does anyone know how the Denon AVR-3805 Pre-Amp Out's work ? i.e. are they an analog signal only, are they just "tapped" into the ciruit etc.. I have my Denon in the Shop as nothing but Feed Back/Noise comes out of them into my Amp and Sub (LFE) after 3 Months of trouble free operation and I'm trying to understand what went wrong.

Thanks

It's line level signal, unamplified. I don't quite get what you mean by "tapped" because everywhere that signal goes is essentially tapped or routed via a board or relay as it passes through your receiver. In terms of output, that signal is still being sent to both your amplified and line level outputs simultaneously. Something must have gone wrong on one of your main boards; maybe a relay; etc.... Preamp outputs are always analog.

That sucks. Is it still under warranty?
