Hi, I need assistance in setting up my Denon receiver (AVR-3311CI) so that while playing my Yamaha CD player, I can still watch video sources on Sharp Aquos TV. Currently, when I switch modes on the receiver to audio files, all I get on the TV is the DENON Logo. How can I still view the TV picture and listen to audio files at same time, Currently my video source is via Sat/Cbl.
Thanks

I think the settings in the Denon are similar to my Marantz. Go to the input menu and there is a item called video or something similar. You can change this from the default which is "source" to on of the other inputs. Make this selection your sat/cbl input and you should be all set.

Hello adk, I tried your advice and still no video format on monitor when playing CD. There was a video option but when inputing SAT/Cbl... nothing, just the Denon name on monitor. Went into screensaver etc and tried all options there regarding monitor inputs but nothing. So still at square one. Is there a method of accomplishing my request via cabling options on rear of receiver and monitor. Monitor and receiver are both ARC compatable and connected as such

Hmm. I'm not sure because it works for me. Let me check when I get home and see what else I may have done to get it to work. All my sources are HDMI so maybe mixing analog and digital could be the issue.

I think you need to also connect component connections from your STB (see the note on pg 70) to the receiver and properly assigned and maybe even turn video conversion on for the Sat/Cbl input.

Unfortunately, the ##11s don't seem to be able to select alternate audio/video feeds on the fly like previous models.
