Hi. I just upgraded my TV to a LG 55la7400. I have an OPPO Blu-Ray running into the receiver and my cable box running into the receiver. Both are run by HDMI cables. There is 1 HDMI running from the receiver to the LG. The OPPO works fine and I can watch movies, hear music etc., no problems. Most of the time when I switch to sat/cable the TV states that there is no input. Every once in a while after turning them on and off a bunch of times it will then recognize the cable box and I will have a perfect picture and sound. If I turn on the receiver I get great audio from the cable box but then I turn on the TV, the audio stops and the TV states it has no input.
I used to have a Samsung TV attached that occasionally had this problem but nothing like this. LG says it is the receiver. Denon told me to try some process of disconnecting everything then turning them back on.....I didn't do this because that seems pointless and a waste of time and it would involve removing the TV from the wall(it is inset so cannot just remove cable from TV).
I've got about 20 hours of Olympics on the DVR and would like to watch it! Any ideas or suggestions? Do I have to ditch the receiver and get a more updated one?(it is only 2 years old) Is Denon known to have these issues? I couldn't find anything online about this except people who had a picture but no audio. Would be very grateful for any help. Thanks!!
