Denon AVR-2307C1 Receiver won't turn on

It flashes a green light of about 8 seconds and then the green light remains lit, but there is no other power... It's 5 yrs old and I was thinking the dust inside may be affecting it???? we never had any previous problems with it....

Check the speaker wires and that the speakers are turned on. Also, go into the menu and make sure the correct audio input is selected.

If it has dust inside, clean it out. An air compressor is about as good as it gets for this but taking it outside and using a paint brush to loosen the dust and vacuum it out.

Five years is probably in the range of the life of a unit like that.
