denon avr-2106 vs yamaha rx-v659

Can u tell me which receiver is better the denon avr-2106 or the yamaha rx-v659?

In the Areadvd review (if I'm reading the German to English translation properly) it appears they feel the 659 is the best in class, second to the 2106 only in two channel music.

Ok. i am planning to get the yamaha rx-v659 pretty soon but just wondered if my speakers are adequate.
jbl e80 fronts, jbl ec25 center, bose 301's surrounds and jbl n28ll rears.
If they are not good enough can u recommend some? (not too expensive)

Speakers for new receiver

Wess,
You might considering trying the new Yamaha receiver, calibrating it and assesing the performance of your current speakers. Depending on what receiver you are using now, it may be an improvement.

If you still have an itch to upgrade, check out the budget speaker reviews on this site including the Onix X-LS bookshelf speakers. They should provide a quality and performance improvement to your system for just over $200/pair. I didn't see a sub listed, so you might want to add that to your system first.

Also, the Yamaha HTR-5960 models is comparable to the RX-V659 and you might be able to get a better deal from authorized online dealers.

Ok guys i ordered the rx-v 1600 instead of the 659. Thought i would get the add. features now and save the upgrade by mid-year.
My question again is this; can my jbl e80's, n28ll and bose 301's handle it?
