This is just a quick question about when or if a review on the denon avr-2105 would be possible? I just remember reading that when the new denon receivers were released that this was the model to watch out for. It is about in my price range and would just like to know how all the "new" formats works like the autosetup and dplIIx. Thanks alot

The autosetup is an excellent feature to get the most of your receiver: it autmatically determines the distance from the speakers to your listening position and ajusts the sound level and time delay. You could do the same with a tape meter and sound pressure level but this is soooo much simpler... I highly recommend choosing a receiver with auto setup if you are not an HT expert.

Dolby Prologic IIx simply a surround processing mode for 7 channels (vs 5 for Prologic II). For it to be effective you need proper speaker placement and it doesnt sound good with all movies (but you can easilly turn the rear speakers from the remote). Because of that I ended using a 5.1 setup in my HT areas and using the remaining to channels to power a second independant room.

This plus the A/B front speakers selectors allows to power 3 zones or use different speakers from direct stereo and HT surround.
