guys, i owned DENON AVR-1910 7.1 channel, what is really a great reciever without doubt, but my question is next, i was owner of a old yamaha 5.1 channel 8 years old with 75watts x 5. with my current klipchs, 100watts, each satellites spearkers, i decide to upgrade to the denon by the idea to use 7.1 setup and more power. but now i sense and hear obviously that with the denon (90w x 7.1) i need to use more volumen level to start hearing very well the voice on the center channel, instead of the old yamaha that work very great at low volumen level, with good listening of the movie at 30% of the total volumen.

Note: the same speaker was used.

Your really not upgrading to more power in a manor of speaker. 75>100w is really not audiable difference with most all speakers. As for the volume level, level matching would prove that they sound the same. If you wanted more power (really headroom as we tend to listen with very few watts used) 200wpc would be a noticable upgrade:)

Don't be concerned with what the volume dial reads. Amps have different gains so the volume knob isn't an indicator of power. Just turn up the volume till it reaches the level you like and leave it at that. Also, make sure you're using Audyssey Dynamic EQ as that makes a large difference at lower volumes.
