Denon AVR-1906 On-Screen Display

Hi,
Just recently purchased the AVR1906 & combined it with the Athena Micra speakers, in a 7+1 config. For the price I paid, can't really complain & it really does sound quite good. In any case, so far, everything works as it should but the only thing I can't seem to get working is the On-Screen Display. I'm connecting this via Component to a LCD Projector. Movies & stuff from the DVD works & no matter what I tried, I can't seem to get the on-screen display to ... display. Would appreciate any advise from anyone who has a similar unit, thanks!

Are you seeing the volume control overlay on your sources? The Denon puts out it's onscreen menu in 480i. Make sure that your projector will see 480i on that input. If it does try hitting the setup button a couple of times. Some of the denons are kinda weird about this.

Thanks for your response & I apologise for not responding earlier. Actually I found out that the OSD will not display via Component. It can only do so via S-Video & this has been confirmed by a few other members/posting that I saw somewhere else.

It's a bummer but heck, it works... but thanks!
