Hello all Wondering wheither anyone out has any experience with the Denon A11.I have recently purshaced Klipsch RF7 speakers which apparently thrive on good clean power and plenty of it.I also own a Velo HGS 18 sub .I picked up the Denon at a good price some time ago and it goes fine but now the dreaded upgrade bug has bitten and am considering another amp but which?Music is my preference over movies and getting the most out of the RF 7'S is my ambition.I love it loud dynamic detailed and in your face.Any suggestions would be appreciated greatly Thanks

G'day mate, that receiver is comparable to the AVR-3805 here in the states. That's some nice equipment you're putting together. Being that you're down under, it's difficult recommending products because we don't know if they are available. Two brands that may be available might be Rotel & Anthem, both very good amp manufactureres. You'll want to size the amp to the size of your space, but the RF-7s are really sensitive so the amps power can be scaled back a little.

The A11SR is the UK/Euro/Australian version of the 4802 not the 3805. ;) If you're looking to improve on it then ideally you need to check out the A11XVA (4806CI).

Thanks fellas for taking the time to reply. The A11 SR is the equivalent of the 4802 I believe. Is it feasable to hook up a stereo amp with plenty of pure GRUNT. As the hornbased RF 7's are bright and forward sounding (which is why I got them) I would prefer an amp that is relatively neutral and highlights the midrange if anything.
First things first, would the sound be improved by adding an external power amp? Would the financial outlay generally be validated by the improvement (I'm not a millionaire) and finally what should I save up for if it is within my means or dream about if it is not, given you guys give the ol thumbs up to the idea?

Thanks again fellas!
The range of eqhipment downunder is quite extensive.
