Denon 591 HDMI repeater degradation

I bought the Denon 591 receiver last week along with a panasonic TC-P54G25 plasma. I am getting very noticeable picture degradation (red/green sandstorm fuzziness) with components flowing to receiver via HDMI and receiver to TV via HDMI. When I change the components (cox cable box) to go directly to TV via HDMI, picture gets much clearer. It seems my Denon HDMI pass through/repeater (not sure which) is causing the problem. Is this fixable or is my unit bad or is everyone having such problems?

Very frustrating to buy very updated units and getting this poor quality.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

if you bought the Denon locally, take it back for replacement. If not, you will have to deal with Denon customer service and they will want you to take it to a repair center (usually most inconvenient) and weeks of delay. There should be no degredation of the pass through video signal.
