Denon 4500 app no longer connecting

A few days ago I noticed the Denon 2016 remote app no longer functions on my iPad. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, and verified that the receiver and app are on the same network. No luck. Firmware is most current.
HEOS app works fine.

my next thought is to reset the receiver, BUT I FINALLY HAVE THE SOUND I WANT! I haven’t adjusted the settings in 3 days.

anyone have any ideas?

Can't you copy the settings before running a full reset? Did you try a soft reset (i.e. unplug it for a bit)?
