I have the chance of buying one of these receivers. Which one is superior, especially for music?

Thanks.

also, what kind of question is this ...

I have an avr-645 receiver and love it. My question is which sounds better to other HK owners With or without EQ. I kinda like it off. All responses appreciated.:)
when you already have a 645 and love it

freakin lol

Well, I have done alot of listening in many modes for both of these receivers. I listened to the Denon 4306 and HK 645 on my JBL setup and compared them very closely. Now, both weight around 41lbs. True, Denon has more features. But for sound QUALITY HK beats Denon especially for music. Home theater surround is close, but still the edge goes to HK. Build quality goes to Denon, but SOUND goes to HK for sure. I really could not believe it myself. Denon 4306 goes for around $2000 and I just bought a HK 645 on clearence for $599. Also, when I cranked up the volume at very high levels the Denon's safety turnned the unit off several times. The HK 645 NEVER turnned off at that same level. I also noticed a warm, very smooth sound from the HK. Denon's sound was also good, but the high's were harsh an not SMOOTH like HK. No question the bass control was better with HK. Both receiver's fans were running continously throughout the high level testing. HK 's manual is terrible, but it makes up for it in SOUND. I can only imagine what the HK 745 would sound like!!

Here is my setup:

JBL e100 (FRONT)
JBL ec35 (CENTER)
JBL E50 (SURROUND)
JBL e250p (12" Sub)

All hooked on audioquest 14 gauge speaker wire.
Ironically, I used a top of the line Denon (dcm390) cd player to compare music and a Sony DVD player for Digital testing.

No I do not work for HK.
What matters to you how I ask a question? Do you want to piss off customers/members? Remember we are in an Economic slowdown!

Let me rephrase the question so the moderator can be happy!

Does anybody want to comment on the sound quality between the HK 645, Denon 4306, or Marantz 8001?

for sound QUALITY HK (645) beats Denon (4306) especially for music.
Admit it, you are bored, otherwise you won't be going through the same old drill.:D By the way remember 1 HK watt=2 or more Denon/Yamaha watts, HK is honest about their power so that means the 645's 75WX7 must be more powerful than the 3808's 130WX7 regardless. Almost forgot, HK will sound warm whatever that means but it automatically means better sounding in music.. whatever that means.... Oops you kind or mentioned that already.

you're right. that would mean the HK has 150 denon/yammy watts! truly greater than the 130W of the denon!

and i have proof! with blind testing too:
You are full of ****. That h/k 645 at 75 wats of Real power per channel at all channels driven will beat any 100-130 watt denon, Yamaha, or Onkyo. I done lots of blind testing to prove it. Plus. JBL and H/k sound great together.
