Hey. My Denon 3910 is not outputting multi channel music......It is not my system as I have put a Pioneer in its place and everything is copacetic. In the menus I can pull up the audio section, but the areas that have multi channel info in them are "greyed out" and not accessible........does anyone have an idea how to get these menu items back up? I am pretty sure that is the problem.......I have swapped out some components since my prepro went down so it is highly possible that I did something to mess it up. Help Me Help Myself!

Are you using multi-channel analog outputs or a digital output?

You mean for SACD/DVD-A? What is your speaker configuration in the player? If you don't have it setup to use all channels you may not have all options available. Also, with the 2200 and 2900 you had to run the speaker setup first before the m/c options would become available. Which means, if you accidentally switched to 2ch, you have to re-run the speaker config for m/c to make those options available.

Thanks for the suggestsions, guys! Yes, I have 6 channel analog connections. I have double and triple checked the hookups there........lord knows it's hard enough to see which connection goes where........

I'll fiddle with it this weekend when I have time to sit down at the rig....
Thank you for the help! davidtwotrees

I don't recall if I needed to set the HDMI Audio settings to 2CH in order to enable the analog MC's, but if you have not done so, give it a shot.

Sweet. I finally had the chance to sit down......my prepro is back from the shop, and get this all straightened out.
You hit the nail on the head, Bri, I had to set the HDMI setting to two channel and then reset it back to multi channel in order for the unit to reset itself.......geez, I looked at that menu many times, and the HDMI was set to Multi so I moved on.........I don't even use HDMI:(

But all's well that ends better, as B. Baggins always said.....thanks, I'm enjoying hirez again.......:)

I've got a DENON DVD-557 Player. It can play only region one DVDs. Is it possible to make it region free DVD player? If so can anyone explain the process?
