I would get the Onkyo 875 and the Panasonic DMP-BD30, which can bitstream TrueHD & DTS-MA via HDMI.

Why is Onkyo 875 better? other than video chip
I am waiting for the Panny BD50

Yeah, the Panny BD50 is what I'm waiting for too because I need a player with internal decoders for DTS-MA. If I had a receiver with DTS-MA decoders, I would have been happy with the BD30.

Well, I'm thinking the Onkyo 875 would be in the same ballpark figure as the Denon 3808 ($1,200?). But the Onkyo 875 will give you more power: 201 watts (1 ch driven) & 141 watts (5 ch driven).

I am in the same situation. I have a Denon 3805 as well. I am considering the Onkyo 905 or 875. The 875 is currently 1168.00 at Amazon, where as the 905 is $2000. Seems like a lot of difference for the options.
I would not buy the Integra over the Onkyo due to the cost difference, and the lack of dealers in my area.
I love my Denon, but I would have to go more money to get the features of the 875, and beyond the 3808CI.
One other receiver you might want to consider is the Marantz 7002, or 8002.

The Onkyo TX-SR875 is not necessary IMO. The Integra DTR-7.8 is the TX-SR805 equivelent with the addition of networking ability and a better warranty. The TX-SR875s only advantage over the DTR-7.8 is the scaler, but won't be needed. The DTR-7.8 will have similar power and switching ability to the Onkyo TX-SR875 plus networking. The Integra is the better value.:)

I am curious as to what price the Integra can be had for.

I might be able to inform you in a couple of days. My home city has a dealer (Integra does not deal online). I am out of my home city for a few days.:)

Hey Seth,

I was just checking out the Integra 7.8 at a local retailer here in Phoenix and I beleive the SRP$1,300. I am seriously considering this receiver along with the Denon AVR-3808ci to replace my current Yamaha RX-V995. I am olso considering the Onkyo TX-SR875 because it has the Reon HRV scaler.

You have a Blu-ray player don't you? To be perfectly honest, the HQV scaler won't be leaps and bounds better than the upscaling on a Blu-ray, HD DVD, or current upscaling DVD player. IMO, it's not worth the price jump. If you don't already have an HD player you will be able to afford one with the money saved on the receiver.:D

I am going to go look today at the Integra 7.8 and the Denon 3808ci. What did you think of the Integra ? I am kind of leaning towards the Denon only because I own one.
