My Denon 3808CI died. I no longer get an output of the GUI from HDMI or Component. I tested the TV and BR Player and they are fine (HDMI directly to TV from BR Player works).

I sent it in for repair and Denon claimed it was the mainboard and said it would be over $700 to repair it. I am wondering if I can find the actual part and fix it myself. My issue is in the troubleshooting department.

Here is what I found in my troubleshooting so far:

HDMI Input - HDMI Output: No video or sound to speakers, no GUI on TV.
No Input - HDMI Output: No GUI on TV.
No Input - Component Output: No GUI on TV.
DVD player to Turntable Input: Sound out of speakers.
PC HDMI to HDMI4 Input - HDMI Output via DVI Converter to Monitor: No video on the monitor after selecting the proper input, but the PC did do the "hardware detect and hardware lost" blooping noises each time I plugged and unplugged the HDMI cables from the AVR. It did it whether I unplugged the HDMI input or HDMI output, telling me it was seeing the monitor (then losing it again when it was unplugged).

So...what else can I try and what I can look for? Anyone have the part number for the mainboard? Anyone have a repair manual - my google-fu is low and I failed in finding either.

Thanks!
