Denon 3808 vs. 2809

I've had a Denon 2809ci for three months now. Its been a great reciever. I love the Dynamic EQ but find the Dynamic Volume horrible. The SQ for movies is excellent but i feel music could be much better. The audyssey MultiEQ XT for being an autosetup is kind of tricky, but once mastered/ done properly REALLY helps. The 3808 only has a few small extras over the 2809 IMO. IT does have the nice on screen volume overlay and sweet GUI but in reality that stuff doesnt matter much.

I've ordered a Marantz SR6003 to compare and also a Yamaha RX-V3900 because its feature loaded. Whatever receiver i like the most and will give the best AQ is staying.

3808 add on wifi capability

If you want wifi on your 3808 use a wireless ethernet gaming adapter. I use one to stream music from my laptop to the receiver. Streaming flac music files basically elimnated my use for a CD collection thanks to bittorrent. I can also stream DTS5.1 encoded .wav files and the receiver will output 5.1ch.

You'll still want to use a wired connection to do firmware updates though.
