Denon 3806 vs. HK 645

I am looking at both of these models at the moment. I don't much on how the Denon's sound, but I am familiar with the HK's. My only draw back about the HK 645 is that I have been hearing a lot of people having problems with them. The Denon 3806 seems comparable and with a high satisfaction rate. What are your thoughts on the two? Is Denon or HK better over all (I know, a matter of opinion. let's hear it).

don't know about the HK, but I've had my Denon 3806 for a year now, and I still very happy w/ it. It does a wonderful job and is flexible enough to suit a lot of needs, and the remote I don't mind either, some people don't like it. I didn't care for the HK's last year, but again, I don't know about the 645 specifically, I haven't looked at them in a year, so I don't remember which model #'s they were. Last year though, I was getting more receiver for the money w/ the Denon, don't know what the current HK line offers though.

Well

most members on this forum would take the Denon! I myself have the 3805 and very happy with it. The word on HK is they aren't very reliable but there customer service is excellent. The question is do you want to find out . If your not sure on Denon, then look at Yamaha or Pioneer.
