Denon 3806 Component Video issue

I bought a 3806 and trying to understand all that it has as to my needs and applications. Wanted to get the best quality video output...so selected the Component Video out terminals and since my DVD output also had component output feature...no internal video conversion was going to be needed. My picture was mostly B/W and greenish. So troubleshooting as we speak. First making sure my DVD Components weren't hosed up and theyweren't. Have hi-quality cables....so question..anyone has had similar issues or any suggestions? Like I said still on the learning cureve with this beast. CD/audio and speakers all work well.

Sounds like a bad connection. Check all connections and make sure they are not mixed up. Try connecting the DVD player directly to the TV, if this works do the same with the other cable to make sure its not a faulty cable.

I had a similar problem that happened occasionally, after investigation it turned out to be a loose connection in one of the component end plugs(I had to open it up and re-solder the connection)

cheers:)
