Denon 3806 and Panasonic PT AE900 Question?

I have a new Denon 3806 and a Panasonic PT AE900 and was wondering what is the best connection between the two. It will be a ceiling mount with about a 15 foot run to my equipment.

I presume that Panasonic is a front projector? If so, I'd use the HDMI cable with another back up, perhaps Svideo or component.

The AE900 is a front projector (I guess front projection isn't real big on this site :) ) and I would run HDMI and component cables since I believe the 3806 will upconvert just about anything to component or HDMI.

EDIT: Now that I look it up, I see that your receiver will upconvert everything from composite to component to HDMI. You could run only an HDMI cable but I would still run a component backup.

Thanks. I was planning to go with the HDMI but was unsure if I needed to go ahead and hook up anything else.

If I am not mistaken, you will need to connect a cable from your receiver for every different connection that goes into it. For example, If your VCR goes in via s-vid, you will need to run an svid out to the projector, while at the same time running HDMI if you have your digital cable box connected to your receiver via HDMI, and a component will have to be run if your DVD player is hooked up via component. If there are multiple things using the same connection type, only one output is required.

The Denon 3806 transcodes/upconverts all signals to HDMI so it is not necassary to run so many cables. See HERE under Connectivity.
