I've been trying to set-up a pair of speakers on zone 2 or 3 and can't get the audio. I have my system set-up as 5.1 in the main room and would like to drive a pair in another zone. I've read the manual and there is no clear directions on how to get this done. Does anyone have the soulution?

are you using analog sources for the signal? that could be the problem for zone 3 if you are trying to use digital sources (coax or optical).

Have you gone into the setup menus and reassigned the surround back channels to drive Zone 2? Also make sure that you have any source connected with a digital cable (digital coax or optical) also hooked up with analog connections (Pair of RCA cables).

Yep, most likely those zones will only amplify an analog input; i.e. "CD".

That fact IS buried in the Rosetta Stone of a manual, ...................somewhere.

Zone 2 will only see analog sources, Zone 3 is a pre-amp out,so you would need a seperate amp to use Zone 3
