Denon 3805 vs Sony STR-DA333ES

Hi - I've been interested in upgrading my existing receiver, a Sony STR-DA333ES to the Denon 3805 but had a question. How much of a perceived difference between the two units is noticible? The primary use for the receiver will be for movies with some music playing off. Is it really worth the $$$ diff? If someone has made a similar jump I would be interested to hear what you think.
I'm using a set of Aperion speakers for the frount 3 and Niles ceiling mounted for the rears.
Not to be rude, but if you dont have one or have not used one of the 3805's please dont reply - I can read the spec's just as well as everyone else - looking for a subjective opinion not just the diff in numbers.

Hi,

I have gone from a Sony STRDB 940 amp to the Denon 3805 and I am very satisfied.

I got the amp on a two day trial and after half an hour of listening to it I was hooked. The stereo separation is in a different league along with watching films.

I am using Morduant Short speakers at the moment, but once my bank balance has recovered from buying the amp I will upgrade my speakers.

There are a couple of things I miss from the Sony like the naming of inputs for the screen and the motorised volume control but otherwise it is top notch!!

I am sure if you get one you will be more than happy.
