Denon 3805 Question

I have a Denon 3805 hooked to a BK 7250 Amp. Speakers are MBQuart QL330 for the Center and QLS830 for the fronts. No rears yet. There seems to be a filter that does not allow the volume to get very loud. System is normally used for Home Theater. Most of the time the volume is ok, but some times I would like to crank it up. The volume on the unit shows 0.5db and registers around 90 db on my meter. Also, when I hooked up my amp the radio stopped working properly. I can here faint sound from the Sub only. Thanks for any help you give and let me know if more details are needed.

Try bumping up the speaker levels in the manual adjustment in the OSD/GUI.

I do seem to recall reading somewhere that Denon has a low preamp output but I can't remember where I read that.

Few questions before proceeding.

What sub are you using?

Also, are you using the Denon Auto Setup or the Manual Setup?
And what Audio mode are you using from your 3805?

Check your level settings and make sure you have not inadvertently left any muting on. There is no way I can withstand the SPL with the 3805's volume at -10 let alone +0.5 when playing CD, DVD or tuner. Watching TV is a different story as some channels are louder than others.

If all else fail, try resetting the unit to factory default conditions. If you don't know how just read the manual, or let us know.
