My Yamaha dsp a-3090 finally died out and I am looking to purchase a new reciever. I really like how the effect speakers worked on my 3090 and I believe the new Denon can do this. I read up on the specs and I know the new yamaha can do the effect speaker hookup.
My brother just purchased the Denon 3311 and it is really nice. Is there going to be that much of a difference in picture quality and sound compared to the Yamaha rx a3000 or even the 1000? I have a sony KDF 50e2000 and will eventually upgrade to a plasma or the samsung.
My brother's samsung still has the ghosting, jittering (750 series) and I think samsung is still having a problem with it. This is why I may wait.
I like the yamaha 3000 over the 1000 because of the video processing chip, I feel this may make a difference.
Anyone have any experience with these recievers?
